Your spare internet.
Paid in M‑Pesa.

Savannah Grid lets your laptop or phone share a slice of bandwidth for vetted web traffic, and pays you per gigabyte, straight to mobile money. Kenya first; the whole continent next.

How it works

Three steps, then it runs quietly in the background.

1

Install the node

One command on Linux/macOS/Windows. The app holds a secure connection to our controller and waits for work.

2

Carry verified traffic

Buyers fetch public web pages only. Every target domain is allowlisted by us and re-checked on your device. Your IP is what makes the traffic valuable.

3

Cash out to M‑Pesa

Bytes are metered by the server (you can't be short-changed or over-claimed). Request a payout; KES lands on your phone via Bitcoin Lightning rails.

Install

Pick your platform. You'll be asked for your phone number. That's your payout account.

Android appLinux / macOSWindowsRaspberry Pi = Linux

Android — by far the easiest, recommended

Download the app, pick your country, choose M-Pesa or USDT, tap Start. The app updates itself, reconnects after drops and reminds you if you forget — every other platform below is a manual install.

Download the app

Android will ask to "install from this source" once. That's normal for a direct download. Open the app, tap Start sharing, and you're live. Toggle on the battery exemption for best uptime.

Seeing a Play Protect or "unsafe app" warning? That appears for most apps installed outside the Play Store, especially new ones — it is not a virus report on our app specifically. To install: tap More details → Install anyway (wording varies: some devices show "Install anyway" directly, or "Got it → keep"). If blocked entirely, open Play Store → profile icon → Play Protect → gear → temporarily turn off scanning, install, then turn it back on. A Play Store listing is on our roadmap, which removes these prompts entirely.

Update fails to install? Early builds used a test signature we have now replaced with a proper release one — Android refuses to update across signatures. Uninstall once, reinstall from here; your account is tied to your phone number, so nothing is lost.

Linux / macOS / Raspberry Pi

curl -fsSL https://savannah.guavaintel.com/install.sh | sh -s -- --phone 0712345678 --country KE

Registers your device, downloads the node (~/.savannah-grid/savannah-node.js), and installs a background service (launchd / systemd). Stop any time with launchctl unload or systemctl --user stop savannah-grid, or just delete the folder.

Outside Kenya? Add --country UG (or TZ, RW, GH, NG, ZM, ZA) and a crypto payout: --payout-address T… (USDT on Tron). Local mobile money shows "coming soon" until it launches. Optional flags: --provider MTN, --ref CODE if a friend invited you.

Check your balance any time: node ~/.savannah-grid/savannah-node.js --earnings

Windows (PowerShell):
powershell -c "iwr https://savannah.guavaintel.com/install.ps1 -OutFile install.ps1"; .\install.ps1 -Phone 0712345678 -Country KE
Installs a Scheduled Task that starts at logon and auto-restarts. Same optional flags: -Provider, -PayoutAddress, -Ref.
Advanced: Android via Termux (for terminals-inclined users; the app above is the recommended path):
pkg install nodejs curl
curl -fsSL https://savannah.guavaintel.com/install.sh | sh -s -- --phone 0712…
termux-wake-lock # keeps the node alive with the screen off
Termux needs battery-optimization exempted (Settings → Apps → Termux → Battery → Unrestricted) or Android will freeze the node.

What you actually earn, honestly

No hype. Here is the real math.

ItemValue
Rate$0.08 per GB of verified traffic through your node, paid out in KES
Daily limitUnlimited by default. You can set a cap in the app if you want one.
Min payoutKES 20 → M-Pesa
Outside KenyaSame rates, paid in USDT (Tron) — minimum ~$5 local equivalent. Local mobile money is coming soon.
The catchEarnings are demand-driven: bytes only flow when buyers are buying. Early on, expect small daily numbers; uptime + rare geographies (yours) are what buyers pay a premium for.

Safety & consent

Allowlisted targets only

The server maintains a vetted domain list; your device independently re-checks every request against it. It cannot be turned into an open proxy.

Metered, not surveilled

We count bytes and target domains. We do not see your browsing, files, or accounts.

Your connection, your rules

Daily caps, one job at a time, quit whenever. Stopping the app stops the traffic instantly.

For data buyers

Residential & mobile egress from real African devices, the geography global proxy pools are missing.

Standard CONNECT proxy

Point any HTTP client at us:

curl --proxy http://u-<id>-cc-KE:<key>@host:3001 https://target.com

Geo + sticky sessions

-cc-XX pins the exit country. -sess-abc holds the same IP for a ~10-minute window.

Pay per byte, in crypto

Self-serve signup, Lightning top-ups, byte-precise billing. AI agents: ask for our MCP server (fetch_url tool).

FAQ

Is this legal?

Yes. With your explicit consent, on your own connection, for vetted public-web targets. What matters is consent: you'll see exactly what runs before anything connects.

Will it slow down my internet?

Jobs are capped and rate-limited; the node is idle most of the time. You set the ceiling.

How do payouts work?

Balance accrues in KES; at ≥KES 20 you request a payout and we send Lightning → M-Pesa via Tando. No bank needed.

Can I see what was fetched through me?

Yes. Every job is logged (domain, bytes, timestamp). Transparency is part of the deal.
